1st Year

Class: Basic Graphic Design
Project: Person In Action
Objective: This is one of my first projects at MVCC. It is a completely freehanded stylization of my sister playing her flute. I had to photograph her playing then traced the photo using sharpies and french curves.

Class: Color & Design
Project: Famous Person in History Promo
Objective: Create at piece of vector artwork of a famous person in history using color harmony. I chose Bono from U2 because he is the one that started "Product Red" to help the fight against AIDS in Africa. Because of him, thousands are givin a better life.

Class: Digital Imaging
Project: Digital Collage
Objective: Create a digital collage of anything that is important in our lives. I picked my dog that passed away about a year before this project. I had him since I was 2, so he was like a brother to me. The leash, collar and tags are all his and were scanned in. The background is actually a frosted picture of "Buck" and I in a wagon when I was 2 years old. (It gives a special, hidden meaning.)

Class: Digital Imaging
Project: Promotional Ad
Objective: To create a promo ad for anything we could think of. We had to shoot our own photos or buy stockart. I picked the Toyota Prius and took photos at a local car dealer for the ad. The background and frog images are stock photos that I bought. The logo is traced in Illustrator from a high res jpeg.
